What is a Price Mode?
An overview of Price Modes in Creator — what they are, how to access them, and how to toggle them on and off.
📋 Overview
Price Modes let you quickly switch between price books on your kiosk — useful for events, happy hours, or any situation where your pricing changes temporarily.
The Price Mode feature allows you to maintain separate sets of prices for your menu items and switch between them with a single toggle. If no Price Mode is active, the kiosk uses each item's default price.
📍 Where to Access Price Modes
Price Modes are managed in Creator:
- Go to creator.mashgin.com and log in
- Scroll to the bottom of the left sidebar
- Click the Price Modes section
From here you can add, edit, remove, activate, deactivate, and import items for your Price Modes.
🔁 How to Turn Price Modes On and Off
- Click Manage under the Price Modes section in the sidebar
- In the Active column, toggle a Price Mode on or off
- Click Save to apply the change
Only one Price Mode can be active at a time. If no Price Mode is active, the kiosk displays each item's default price.
💡 Tips
- Price Modes are ideal for venues with different pricing for different events (e.g., regular vs. event day, happy hour rates)
