How do I resolve a calibration issue alert?
Steps to clear a Calibration Issue alert on the Mashgin kiosk by running a full camera calibration.
π Overview
A Calibration Issue alert means the kiosk's camera system has drifted and needs to be recalibrated. Without calibration, item recognition accuracy will decline β items may scan slowly, prompt "What's this?", or be identified incorrectly.
Running a full calibration will clear the alert.
Calibrate during a low-traffic period when the kiosk can be taken offline for 5β10 minutes.
π§ Resolution
Step 1. Check that all cameras are online
Before calibrating, confirm all 4 camera feeds are visible:
Some hardware contains the NiCam Camera. If this is not visible and there are no NiCam errors, then you are okay to proceed with calibrating without one.
- Go to Manager Mode β Advanced β Cams

- Check that all 4 live camera feeds are showing β no blank or missing feeds

If any cameras are offline or missing, resolve that first β see How do I resolve a cameras cannot be reached alert? before continuing.
Step 2. Run a full calibration
Follow the complete calibration procedure in How to Calibrate your kiosk.
Once calibration completes and shows Ok for each camera, the alert will clear automatically.
Step 3. Verify the alert is cleared
- Return to the kiosk home screen
- Confirm the Calibration Issue alert is no longer displayed (sometimes the alert will display for up to 24 hours after resolving it)
- Place a test item on the base to verify recognition is working correctly
If after 24 hours the alert persists after a successful calibration, contact Mashgin Support β a deeper hardware or camera issue may be present.
