📋 Overview
CBORD is a software platform that manages employee cards and credentials for the healthcare and higher-education industries. Mashgin integrates with CBORD to support stored value payments and apply discounts.
🛒 Checkout Flow
- The customer places item(s) on the base of the kiosk.
- The customer swipes or scans their ID card. Mashgin sends the card information to CBORD to verify available discounts or stored value payment options.

🔍 Commerce vs. UGRYD
Tenders
- UGRYD: CBORD determines and displays only the primary tender. If the primary tender has a $0 balance, rollover activates for any other available tenders.
- Commerce: CBORD allows multiple tenders to be used simultaneously.
Taxes and Discounts
- UGRYD: Mashgin determines taxes and discounts locally.
- Commerce: Taxes and discounts can be configured by either CBORD or locally by Mashgin, allowing you to differentiate between taxable and non-taxable tenders. These configurations apply to the tender itself rather than to individual users.
