How do I reboot an Ingenico?
Reboot an Ingenico card reader — button reboot, then reseat the USB cable and power connector if needed.
📋 Overview
Rebooting the Ingenico card reader clears many common issues. Try the button reboot first, then reseat the cables if needed.
Step 1. Reboot with the buttons
Press and hold the yellow and pound (#) buttons for a few seconds until the screen turns off. The Ingenico will reboot and cycle through several booting screens.
Step 2. Reseat the USB cable
If that didn't work, go to the back of the kiosk and reseat the Ingenico's USB cable — it plugs into the port directly underneath the power button. You'll hear a beep and see the card reader turn back on.
Step 3. Reseat the power connector (if present)
Some Ingenicos also have a power connector. If yours does, reseat that as well.
