Kiosk
How do I tidy the kiosk's cables?
Use velcro ties and cable sheath to bundle and organize the cables at the back of the kiosk for a cleaner, less cluttered setup.
π Overview
Loose cables at the back of the kiosk can get in the way during maintenance and make the setup look cluttered. Using velcro ties and optional cable sheath, you can bundle everything neatly in just a few minutes.
The kiosk's cables run from the back of the unit up to the side screen. Tidying them keeps them protected and out of the way between maintenance visits.
π οΈ Steps
Step 1. Bundle the cables at the back of the kiosk
Gather all of the cables at the back of the kiosk together. Leave a small amount of slack in the bundle β don't pull them too tight, as you'll need some room for movement and future adjustments.
Wrap a velcro tie around the bundle to hold it in place.
Step 2. Work your way up toward the side screen
Continue bundling and securing the cable run up toward the side screen, adding velcro ties at regular intervals to keep the bundle neat and out of the way.
Step 3. (Optional) Add cable sheath
If you have cable sheath available, wrap the bundle in it for a cleaner finished look. Feed the bundled cables into the sheath and trim to length if needed.
π‘ Tips
- Leave enough slack in the bundle that cables can be reseated without having to undo the entire run.
- Velcro ties are reusable β remove and re-tie as needed when swapping hardware.
- Cable sheath is optional but makes a big difference in locations where the back of the kiosk is customer-visible.
