How to Remove Day Parts

Delete a Day Part from a Mashgin Creator menu when you no longer need it. Removes the time-based menu schedule without affecting the items themselves.

🗑️ Overview

Day Parts let you schedule which menu items appear on the kiosk during specific time windows — like a breakfast menu that ends at 10:30 AM. When a Day Part is no longer needed, you can remove it from Creator. Removing a Day Part deletes the schedule, not the items themselves — the items remain in your menu and stay visible at all times.

What you'll need:

  • The name of the Day Part you want to remove

📋 How to Remove a Day Part

Step 1. Open Day Parts in Creator

  1. Go to creator.mashgin.com and log in
  1. Select your location from the top of the screen (if you manage multiple locations)
  1. In the left sidebar, click "SETTINGS"
  1. Find the Day Parts section

Step 2. Locate the Day Part to remove

  1. Find the Day Part you want to delete in the list
  1. Click on it to open its settings panel
  1. Confirm this is the correct Day Part — deletion can't be undone without recreating it from scratch

Step 3. Delete the Day Part

  1. Click the Delete or trash icon at the bottom of the Day Part panel
  1. Confirm the deletion when prompted
  1. The Day Part will be removed from the list immediately

Deleting a Day Part is permanent. If you remove the wrong one, you'll need to recreate it manually — see How to Add Day Parts.

Step 4. Save and sync

  1. Click "Save" if Creator prompts you
  1. Changes sync to the kiosk automatically within 30 minutes
  1. To verify, check the kiosk during a time the deleted Day Part used to cover — the items it scoped should now be visible at all times

🛠️ Troubleshooting

Items the Day Part used to scope are missing from the kiosk

Issue: After deleting a Day Part, the items it used to control aren't showing up on the kiosk.

Fix:

  1. Confirm the items themselves still exist in Creator on the All Items page
  1. Check that the items are assigned to a station — unassigned items don't appear on the kiosk
  1. Confirm the items aren't tied to a different Day Part that's still scheduling them out
  1. Allow up to 30 minutes for the kiosk to sync, or manually sync the kiosk

Day Part won't delete

Issue: Clicking Delete doesn't remove the Day Part.

Fix:

  1. Confirm you have edit permissions for this location — view-only accounts can't delete
  1. Refresh the page and try again
  1. Try a different browser if the issue persists
  1. Contact Mashgin Support if the Day Part still won't delete
