How the FanMaker integration works at Mashgin kiosks — item-level and affiliation/user-based discounts, stored value payments, checkout flow, and vendor support.
📋 Overview
Mashgin integrates with FanMaker for item-level and affiliation/user-based discounts as well as mobile wallet features (stored value), giving customers a seamless checkout experience at the kiosk.
🛒 Checkout Flow
- Customer places item(s) on the base of the kiosk.
- Customer retrieves their FanMaker QR code and scans it on the Side UX scanner.
- The kiosk sends the QR data to FanMaker to verify any item-level or affiliation/user-based discounts. If the customer has virtual currency in their wallet, it is applied first to cover the transaction. If stored value isn't available, the kiosk proceeds with a split payment.
Drain order: Discounts are applied first, then FanMaker drains stored value (virtual currency) before moving to the split payment option.
- Customer retrieves their FanMaker QR Code and scans the code on the Side UX scanner.
- The kiosk then sends QR data to FanMaker to verify any item-level or affiliation/user-based discounts.
- If the customer has virtual currency stored in their wallet, this will be applied first to cover the transaction amount. If Stored Value is not available, the kiosk will proceed with a split payment option.
