How do I delete a bad pose?

How to identify and delete a bad pose on your Mashgin kiosk — and when to reach out to support instead.

📋 Overview

A bad pose is an image in your kiosk's training data that doesn't correctly represent an item — blurry captures, wrong angles, or accidental scans. Left in place, bad poses confuse the kiosk and cause recognition errors.

Whether you can delete a bad pose yourself depends on how old it is and which location it belongs to:

Situation
What to do
Pose is less than 24 hours old
Delete it yourself directly on the kiosk
Pose is older than 24 hours

Pose belongs to a different location

🗑️ How to Delete a Bad Pose

Step 1. Delete a pose under 24 hours old

If the bad pose was taken within the last 24 hours:

  1. On the kiosk, navigate to the item's pose gallery

  1. Tap directly on the bad pose to select it
  1. Tap Delete
  1. Confirm the deletion when prompted

This option is only available for poses taken within the last 24 hours. If the delete option isn't appearing, the pose is likely too old — contact Mashgin Support.

Step 2. Poses older than 24 hours or from another location

If the bad pose is older than 24 hours, or belongs to a different location, you won't be able to delete it directly.

Contact Mashgin Support and provide:

  • The item name the bad pose is associated with
  • The location name it belongs to
  • A brief description of why the pose is bad (blurry, wrong item, etc.)
