Why is the Sound Not Working
Step-by-step troubleshooting guide for when the kiosk sound is not working, is low, or is quieter than expected during the checkout process — covers checking the volume setting, power cycling, and reseating speaker cables.
📋 Overview
If the kiosk is not making sounds during the checkout process, the issue is usually the volume being set too low, a software glitch solvable with a power cycle, or a loose speaker cable.
🔧 Troubleshooting Steps
Step 1. Check that the Sound is Turned Up
- Access Manager Mode
- Press "Sounds"
- Ensure the volume is not at zero — press the + symbol to increase

The speakers are inside the kiosk — the back plate must be removed to access them.
- Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, remove the six screws on the back of the kiosk and take off the back plate.
