Power Counter
Power Counter: Troubleshooting Missing Cameras
Resolve missing or unreachable camera alerts on the Power Counter by power cycling and checking the camera arm cable connections.
๐ Overview
If the Power Counter reports missing or unreachable cameras, one or more of the cameras in the camera arms is not being detected. This is usually caused by a loose or pinched camera-arm cable and can be resolved on site.
Step 1. Power cycle the unit
Power cycle the unit by unplugging the power cable, letting it sit for a minute or two, then plugging it back in and powering on. If the alert clears, no further action is needed.
Step 2. Check the camera-arm cables at the base
- Lift off the magnetic Base Board Cover (it is not screwed down).
- Locate the USB hub under the cover. Each camera-arm cable is labeled and plugs into the matching labeled USB port โ confirm every label matches its port.
- Reseat each camera-arm cable connection.
- Make sure no cables are pinched under the raised center section, then set the cover back on with the "Place Items Here" text aligned directly over the USB hub.

Step 3. Reseat the base connections at the Side UX
Reseat the cables labeled BASE USB 1 and BASE USB 2 at their ports on the Side UX, then power cycle the unit again.

Step 4. Contact Mashgin Support
