How to Enable Sound for Barcode Item Removal
Step-by-step instructions for turning on the sound that plays when a barcode item is removed, configured in Cloud Settings.
📋 Overview
When a barcode item is removed from a transaction, the kiosk can play an audible sound to confirm the removal. This setting is enabled per location in Cloud Settings.
📋 Steps
Step 1 — Navigate to Cloud
Go to cloud.mashgin.com and select your location.
Step 2 — Open the Settings tab
Click the Settings tab.
Step 3 — Open Display settings
Under Kiosk Settings, click Display.
Step 4 — Enable the sound toggle
Toggle Sound on Barcode Item Removal to Yes.
Step 5 — Save Changes
Click Save Changes.
For immediate updates on the kiosk, tap Sync DB from Manage Mode. Otherwise, changes sync automatically within 5–10 minutes.
