Explains what a dotcode (ArUco) is and how it helps the kiosk distinguish between visually similar items during checkout.
📋 Overview
A dotcode — also referred to as an ArUco — is a small identification code placed on items to help the Mashgin kiosk tell apart products that look nearly identical. Without dotcodes, the kiosk may be unable to differentiate between visually similar items during checkout.
Dotcodes are typically sold in rolls, each containing 1,000 stickers.
📦 Ordering Dotcodes
Order Pre-Printed Labels
For pre-printed 1" circular dotcode rolls, visit dotcodes.mashgin.com. This is the most cost-efficient option and includes the following dotcode types:
- 1–10
- M1–M4
- S1–S5
- PLUS (+)
- SIDE
- F1–F6
- C1–C5
- G1–G4
- A1–A5
Only the dotcode types listed above are available through dotcodes.mashgin.com. If you need a type not listed, contact Mashgin Support.
