How to Change Locations in Creator
Switch between locations you manage in Creator without logging out. Useful for multi-location operators making menu changes across sites.
📍 Overview
If your account has access to more than one Mashgin location, you can switch between them in Creator without logging out and back in. This is useful when you need to make menu changes, review settings, or copy items across multiple locations you manage.
What you'll need:
- Access to creator.mashgin.com
- A Creator account with access to more than one location
Only locations your account has been granted access to will appear in the location list. If a location you manage is missing, contact Mashgin Support to have your access updated.
🔄 How to Switch Locations
Step 1. Open the location selector
- Log in to creator.mashgin.com
- At the top of the left sidebar, click on the current location name
- A dropdown will open showing every location your account can access
Step 2. Select the new location
- Click the location you want to switch to
- Creator will reload with that location's menu, settings, and item list
- Confirm the new location name is displayed at the top of the sidebar before making any changes
Double-check which location you're in before editing items, prices, or settings. Changes you make are scoped to the currently selected location only — they don't propagate to other locations automatically.
🛠️ Troubleshooting
A location I manage isn't showing up
Issue: The dropdown is missing one or more locations you should have access to.
Fix:
- Log out of Creator and log back in — location access updates apply on next login
- Confirm you're using the correct Creator account (not an account scoped to a single location)
- Contact Mashgin Support to grant your account access to the missing location
Changes I made appear in the wrong location
Issue: Item, price, or setting changes show up in a location you didn't intend to edit.
Fix:
- Check the location name at the top of the sidebar — this is the location your changes are applied to
- Switch to the correct location and re-apply the change
- To revert the change in the wrong location, edit the item back to its original value
