How to Edit Existing Price Mode Items
Update the price of one or two items that already exist in a Price Mode, directly in Creator. Use this when you don't need a full bulk import — just a quick spot-edit on a few prices.

This guide explains how to update prices on individual items in a Price Mode, directly in Creator.
Price Modes carry their own prices — separate from an item's base price. Use this guide when you need to adjust one or two items. For bulk changes, use the CSV import flow instead — see How to Import Menu Items for Price Mode.
🛒 How to Edit a Price Mode Item
Step 1. Open Creator and select your location
- Go to creator.mashgin.com and log in
- Confirm the correct location is selected at the top of the screen
Step 2. Edit the price
- Open the items sidebar (scroll or use the search bar)
- Click its price field and type the new price (e.g.
3.50)
- Press Enter or click Save
This only changes the Price Mode price — the item's base price stays the same.
Step 4. Verify on the kiosk
- Wait 1–2 minutes for Creator to sync automatically
- Activate the Price Mode and add the item to a test transaction
- Confirm the updated price appears at checkout
💡 Tips
- For one or two quick tweaks, editing directly in Creator is the fastest option
- Need to update many items? Use the CSV import flow — it's much faster than editing by hand
- Price Mode changes only take effect when that mode is active at checkout
🛠️ Troubleshooting
Price isn't updating on the kiosk
Issue: The price was saved in Creator but the kiosk still shows the old amount.
Fix:
- Wait 1–2 minutes for the automatic sync to complete
- Confirm the kiosk is running the Price Mode you edited (not a different mode or the default menu)
- If still stale, open Manage Mode on the kiosk and tap Sync DB
Item isn't visible in the Price Mode
Issue: The item exists on the regular menu but doesn't appear in this Price Mode.
Fix: The item hasn't been added to this Price Mode yet — Price Modes only include items that were imported into them. Add it by importing a CSV with its item_id and price — see How to Import Menu Items for Price Mode.
