What does the license expiration notification mean?
Explains the kiosk license expiration reminder, what it affects, and the steps to re-register the kiosk to refresh the license.
📋 Overview
Kiosks display a license expiration notification starting roughly two weeks before the license's expiration date. The notification is informational — the kiosk continues to operate normally — but you should re-register the kiosk to refresh the license and clear the alert.
🛠️ Resolution Steps
Step 1. Re-register the kiosk
- Navigate to Manage Mode → Advanced → Register Kiosk.
- Press Register Kiosk to fetch and apply an updated license.
- A successful activation is indicated by a green check mark next to Register Kiosk.
Step 2. If the notification doesn't clear
If the license expiration notification stays on the screen, or you receive an "unable to get a license" error, reach out to Mashgin Support to assist with renewing the kiosk's license.
The notification itself doesn't stop the kiosk from taking transactions — but if the license actually expires, the kiosk will eventually need to be re-registered to keep working normally.
