Why Are Some Transaction ID Numbers Skipped?
Explains why transaction ID numbers in Cloud appear to skip — skipped IDs are cancelled transactions that are intentionally excluded to keep the Transactions tab clean.
📋 Overview
Each transaction in Cloud has a unique, sequentially numbered Transaction ID. Most of the time, IDs increase by one, but occasionally numbers appear to be skipped. This is expected behavior — not a bug.
❓ Why Are Numbers Skipped?
Skipped transaction IDs represent cancelled transactions — interactions that started on the kiosk but never fully completed. These are intentionally excluded from Cloud to keep the Transactions tab clean.

Cancelled transactions happen frequently and are often accidental. For example:
- A customer rests their hand on the base of the kiosk during a conversation, triggering a transaction start
- They remove their hand before anything processes, cancelling it
Because these interactions produce no meaningful sales data, they are filtered out of Cloud entirely.
💡 Tips
- Skipped IDs are not missing transactions — no money changed hands and no items were purchased
- The gap in IDs does not affect your reporting totals or reconciliation
