How do I reseat kiosk arm camera cables?

Step-by-step guide for reseating the USB camera cables on the kiosk arm when arm cameras are missing or not detected.

๐Ÿ”Œ

This guide walks you through reseating the USB camera cables inside the kiosk arm โ€” typically needed when one or more arm cameras are missing after a power cycle. Before starting, see How do I resolve a cameras cannot be reached alert? for the full alert resolution flow.

๐Ÿ”Œ Steps

Step 1. Power Off the Kiosk

Power the kiosk off completely before opening the arm. Follow How do I power cycle the kiosk? for the correct shutdown procedure.

Do not attempt to reseat cables while the kiosk is powered on.

Step 2. Remove the Magnetic Arm Cover

The arm cameras are covered by a black magnetic panel on the front of each arm.

To remove it, press a thin rod (pen tip or small screwdriver) into the slit on the back of the arm near the camera. The cover will pop free.

If only one arm camera is missing, reseat just the cable for that camera. If multiple arm cameras are affected, reseat all USB cables in the arm.

Step 4. Replace the Arm Cover

Press the magnetic cover back onto the arm until it snaps into place.

Step 5. Power On and Verify

  1. Power the kiosk back on
  1. Navigate to Manager Mode โ†’ Advanced โ†’ Cams
  1. Confirm all arm camera feeds are now visible
