How to view MashCash reporting in Cloud vs the MashCash Portal, what each shows, and how to reconcile data across single- and multi-location accounts.

There are two ways to view MashCash reporting: high-level totals in Cloud, and detailed breakdowns in the MashCash Portal. This article explains what each one shows and how to reconcile them.

Access reports via Cloud at cloud.mashgin.com.
What data can I view in Cloud?
Use the Cloud Dashboard to view the total amount of MashCash used for the selected day(s) at a specific location. This is found under Sales by Tender on the Cloud Dashboard.
For more detail — such as where vouchers were created and used — go to your MashCash Portal at cash.mashgin.com.

What data can I view in MashCash?
MashCash Reporting provides a comprehensive summary and breakdown by Group, Location, Cardholder, and Issuer.
Total Summary: a summary by Card Type (Single Use Voucher, Gift Card, Stored Value, Daily Reload), showing Loaded vs. Charged for the selected dates.
Breakdowns: view breakdown reports by Group, Location, Cardholder, and Issuer.
Note: One MashCash account can cover multiple locations — vouchers created at one location can be used at another. Use the By Location feature to see where vouchers were created and used.

⚖️ Reconciling Cloud & MashCash Data Between Locations
Single-location account
A MashCash account with only one location simplifies reporting — all transactions occur within a single account and location, making the data easy to manage and reconcile.
Multi-location account
A MashCash account with multiple locations lets vouchers be redeemed at any location in the account. This adds reporting complexity. Mashgin recommends using cash.mashgin.com to view reports by location for easier reconciliation.
Example — Cloud Reporting (total MashCash used by location):
- Location 1 Cloud Report: $2,061.47
- Location 2 Cloud Report: $1,125.68
Example — MashCash Reporting (where vouchers are created and used):
- Location 1 ($2,061.47 created): $1,962.20 used at Location 1 + $99.27 used at Location 2 = $2,061.47
- Location 2 ($1,125.68 created): $979.86 used at Location 1 + $145.82 used at Location 2 = $1,125.68
